Topcon invests in a new Technology Center in the area hit by the earthquake


img30/01/2014 - Topcon, Japanese multinational company leader in the development and production of devices for precision positioning, is betting on one of the areas most damaged by the earthquake in May 2012, the municipality of Concordia sul Secchia in the province of Modena. The investment includes the creation of a Technology Center, which will extend over an area of 127 thousand square meters

It will take five years to build the center, with the support of Emilia-Romagna Region. About 500 people will be employed, mostly young engineers and graduates. Private partners and university research centers will work in synergy inside the center. The research on mechanical and electronic technologies will be used for applications ranging from automotive to telematics and from agriculture to mobile information services.
