Universities in Emilia-Romagna are the most attractive in Italy


14/06/2017 - Universities in Emilia-Romagna are the most attractive in Italy, as confirmed by the ISTAT (Italian National Institute for Statistic) with respect to the academic year 2015/2016. The index measures the incidence of university students enrolled in a given Italian region with residence in a different region. According to this indicator, our region always ranked first in Italy in the last 8 years.

 

There are 6 universities in Emilia-Romagna, with over 400 courses, 153 masters, 126 specialization courses, 113 Ph.D. and 150 thousand enrolled students in the 2015/16 academic year. About 70 million euro each year are allocated for the right to education.

The regional universities are: University of Bologna (among the oldest of the western world), University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, University of Ferrara, University of Parma, Cattolica University of Piacenza, the seat in Piacenza of the ‘Politecnico di Milano’, and besides, the American Johns Hopkins University.
