The call published by the Emilia-Romagna Region provides 45 million euros to support businesses investing in digital and deep tech, clean and resource-efficient technologies, and biotechnologies, in line with the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP).
Online the 2025 call for proposal “Attraction of investments in Emilia-Romagna” to enter into Agreements for the Settlement and Development of Enterprises, with 13.2 million euros of resources for projects with high impact on innovation and R&D. Applications can be submitted from January 26, 2026. The deadline is the 31th of March 2026 (12am).
Inaugurated on November 17, the hub is designed for startups, companies, and investment funds that want to establish a presence in Bologna and build connections with its ecosystem. Applications are now open to join!
On October 30th, 2025, Bologna successfully hosted the Cities for Talent Meeting 2025, a major European event that brought together over 50 representatives from more than 30 cities. Integration between attraction of investments and talent was one of the topics discussed in focus groups.
The third edition of Selecting Italy 2025 takes place in Trieste from November 4th to 5th. The event is focused on attraction of foreign investments and strengthening regional competitiveness.
MAGNET partners from across Europe met in Reggio Emilia to launch their collaboration, presenting their hubs and working to create synergies between activities and actors involved. The project is financed by the Interreg Europe Programme.
The event – aimed at promoting the region to potential foreign investors - was held on September 25 at the Italian Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka, organized by Emilia-Romagna Region and ART-ER in collaboration with the MIMIT, as part of Emilia-Romagna’s spotlight week.
The MIMIT (Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy) approved a Development Agreement with Lift Truck Equipment and Toyota Material Handling. The expansion plan includes 307 new hires, the creation of a new multifunctional hub in Valsamoggia, and several research projects.
The index confirms that the region is a “strong innovator”, with a score higher than the EU average and at the top in Italy, preceded only by one Autonomous Province and first in EU for the indicator “design applications”.
ART-ER (Emilia-Romagna) is partner and coordinator for the exchange of experiences, working alongside Reggio Emilia (lead partner) and five other partners from the Netherlands, Hungary, Romania, Lithuania, and North Macedonia. The project officially began in May.
The Swiss company expands its presence in the Food Valley in Emilia-Romagna with a new production facility to be completed in 2027. The new site will create more than 100 jobs and will develop flavors and functional blends.
The investment by the U.S. group, active in organ transplant technologies, strengthens the regional biomedical district and foresees the hiring of around 50-100 highly qualified new employees.
