MAGNET prokect - Kick off meeting in Reggio Emilia - Enhanicing regional hubs for the attraction and retention of investments and talents

Reggio Emilia, Italy – Partners of the MAGNET project gathered from across Europe in Reggio Emilia on October 15-16 to officially launch their collaboration. Financed by the Interreg Europe Programme, the project aims to create synergies among regional hubs to improve the attraction and retention of international investments and talent.

The two-day meeting marked an important milestone, giving partners an opportunity to connect, align expectations, and plan upcoming activities. Prior to the kick-off, each partner had already completed a detailed mapping of their regional hub's activities and key stakeholders. This initial work classifies whether an activity targets talent, investment, or both, and identifies the different levels of governance involved.

Key discussion points included:

  • Mapping and analysis of regional hub activities and actors
  • Project governance and management structure
  • The role and contribution of each partner region
  • Communication and dissemination strategies

The project will focus on four key themes:

  • Developing effective hub models and governance structures
  • Strengthening stakeholder engagement and collaboration
  • Enhancing the services and incentives provided by hubs
  • Improving value propositions and marketing strategies

The exchange of experiences is coordinated by ART-ER, with the Municipality of Reggio Emilia serving as the project's Lead Partner.

What’s Next? Following the successful launch, partners will now focus on:

  • Identifying and sharing good practices
  • Organizing peer-learning sessions and study visits
