MAGNET partners from across Europe met in Reggio Emilia to launch their collaboration, presenting their hubs and working to create synergies between activities and actors involved. The project is financed by the Interreg Europe Programme.
The event – aimed at promoting the region to potential foreign investors - was held on September 25 at the Italian Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka, organized by Emilia-Romagna Region and ART-ER in collaboration with the MIMIT, as part of Emilia-Romagna’s spotlight week.
The MIMIT (Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy) approved a Development Agreement with Lift Truck Equipment and Toyota Material Handling. The expansion plan includes 307 new hires, the creation of a new multifunctional hub in Valsamoggia, and several research projects.
The index confirms that the region is a “strong innovator”, with a score higher than the EU average and at the top in Italy, preceded only by one Autonomous Province and first in EU for the indicator “design applications”.
ART-ER (Emilia-Romagna) is partner and coordinator for the exchange of experiences, working alongside Reggio Emilia (lead partner) and five other partners from the Netherlands, Hungary, Romania, Lithuania, and North Macedonia. The project officially began in May.
The Swiss company expands its presence in the Food Valley in Emilia-Romagna with a new production facility to be completed in 2027. The new site will create more than 100 jobs and will develop flavors and functional blends.
The investment by the U.S. group, active in organ transplant technologies, strengthens the regional biomedical district and foresees the hiring of around 50-100 highly qualified new employees.
The call published by the Emilia-Romagna Region provides 30 million euros and aims to support companies that invest in digital and deep tech technologies, clean and efficient technologies, and biotechnologies, in line with the Strategic Technologies European Platform. Deadline: June 19, 2025.
The regional delegation involving representatives of local territories has been involved in about 30 B2B meetings promoting investment opportunities.
The region is present at the exhibition in Cannes (March 10-14) with its stand and a wide delegation of stakeholders and institutions. The Emilia-Romagna workshop "Strategic Technologies and infrastructures for innovation" will be held on Wednesday 12 March 2025 10 am at the Italian Pavilion.
Emilia-Romagna ranks among the top large regions, according to the report “European cities and regions of the future 2025” released by the Financial Times division “FDI Intelligence”.
