Foreign investor: Siemens

The Siemens Technology Application Center (TAC) in Piacenza opened on the in 2011, from a collaboration with regional companies.

The The TAC provides cutting edge technical support to machine tool companies - notably milling and turning ones - and training for the operators.

The center is now called Digital EXperience Center (DEX) and is focused on Industry 4.0 with the collaboration of the Ucimu (Italian machine tool, robots, automation systems and ancillary products manufacturers' association) and several universities.
