Foreign investor: Volkswagen

After the acquisition by the German group in 1998, in 2016 Lamborghini started the new investment for the production of the luxury SUV “URUS. The total amount of the investment was about 700 million euros, creating over 500 new jobs in the regional Motor Valley.

The project included the construction of a new industry 4.0 facility and has been supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region through the law 14/2014 for the promotion of investments (with about 8 MLE of grants) and by national incentives as well.

Further expansions have been carried out in 2019 supported by about 1.5 MLE of regional incentives. Ducati, another top regional brand, is also part of the Volkswagen group.
