The latest release of the ranking on “Quality of life” in the Italian provinces and metropolitan cities - elaborated by Sole 24 Ore - shows a great performance of the Emilia-Romagna region. In 2022, Bologna ranks first in Italy for quality of life and many other regional cities perform very well in the ranking: Parma (9th), Reggio Emilia (13th), Modena (17th), Piacenza (24th), Ravenna (30th) and Forlì-Cesena are in the Top 34 out of 107 cities. Rimini and Ferrara are in the first half of the ranking, performing better than the Italian average.
The study considers many indicators, organized in 6 thematic areas: Business and work, Richness and consumptions, Environment and services, Justice and safety, Demography and society, Culture and leisure.
