dsm-firmenich announces a new investment in the province of Parma, in the so-called Food Valley. The Swiss company has dual headquarters in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland and Maastricht, Netherlands, and operates in the health, nutrition, and bioscience sectors.

dsm-firmenich expands its presence in Emilia-Romagna with the construction of a new production facility to be completed in 2027. The new site will create more than 100 jobs and will produce concentrated powder flavors, reaction flavors, culinary blends, and functional blends related to high-growth markets such as sweet goods and savory products. The group was already present in the province of Parma with two companies. The new facility will be located close to Campus Srl, in the municipality of Collecchio (Parma).

Why Emilia-Romagna
The press release of the company explains some of the reasons to keep investing in Emilia-Romagna. Albert Plans, Senior Vice President, Operations, Taste, dsm-firmenich says: “Our decision to build in Parma is no coincidence. The region is a nexus of food industry talent, home to leading universities with promising talent, and is a strategic location for many of our key customers. It’s an ideal environment to grow our team, contribute to the local economy, and deliver even more value to our customers.”
