The Regional Innovation Scoreboard 2021 elaborated by the EU Commission confirms the performance of the region as a “strong” European Innovator. The “Summary Innovation Index” is elaborated from a complex set of innovation and structural indicators that can be consulted on the online tool.
Although Italy is still considered as “moderate” innovator in the national benchmarking, Emilia-Romagna shows its ability to be included among the most advanced European regions.
