The new offices of EY (Ernst & Young) - in the heart of the Reggiane Innovation Park in Reggio Emilia - opened in June 2024, and will host over 40 employees. As written in the company's press release, "the choice of this location is not accidental: it represents the recovery of an area that once housed one of the most important industries in the country, now converted into a technological hub of a scientific-humanistic nature. (…) We are ready to expand our presence in this fertile land of businesses and talents (...)".
EY is a leading firm in professional auditing and accounting services, tax and legal assistance, transaction and consultancy, headquartered in England. The multinational has been present in Reggio Emilia since 2022 and, following the acquisition of the start-up Way Srl, has doubled its presence in the Reggio Emilia area in the last 24 months, thus moving to the new location.
EY plans to further increase the team in the next two years, with about 25% more employees, while the company currently has about 250 employees in the Emilia-Romagna region. Many initiatives for the retention of talents have already been put in place, in collaboration with the local universities of Modena and Reggio Emilia and Parma, but also with the Universities of Bologna and Ferrara, both in terms of approaching work and in terms of training and teaching projects.
