 In Bologna the new high training center on skills for the industry of the future to be completed by this summer. The center will be built next to the Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna production plant in Crespellano (Bologna) and will respect the most advanced environmental sustainability standards.
The project of the Philip Morris IMC sees the involvement of the Emilia-Romagna Regional Government and many important regional players such as the University of Bologna, ITS Maker, the BI-Rex consortium and ART-ER - along with the Polytechnic of Bari – and will represent another excellence of the regional Data Valley. Indeed, the PM IMC will be an open system, aimed at the people of Philip Morris and its supply chain and at the entire economic, business, education and training world, at a regional and national level.
 

The activities of the Philip Morris Institute for Manufacturing Competences will be organized around three key areas for industry 4.0:

  • Training and professionalization;
  • Technology transfer and open innovation;
  • Applied research and university-business relationship.
