Two companies belonging to the Japanese group Toyota - the Ferrara-based LTE and the Bologna-based Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing Italy (TMHMI) - have presented to the Region an investment and research plan in the forklift and industrial handling sector, with an amount of almost 94 million euros, creating 300 new jobs.
The investments were conceived in an integrated way and aim to intervene on the range of masts produced by LTE placed on the forklifts produced by TMHMI. Along with the industrial investment program planned by the two companies, there will also be two research and development (R&D) projects that accompany them.
The Emilia-Romagna Region has formally expressed its support for the request for incentives linked to the "Development Contract", an instrument of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy managed by Invitalia.
