Racing Bulls Spa is consolidating and expanding its investment within the regional Motor Valley. Controlled by the Austrian group Red Bull GmbH and competing in the Formula 1 World Championship as the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team, the company is focused on enhancing its Faenza site (in the Ravenna province).
The company has submitted an investment program to the Emilia-Romagna Region totaling over €64 million, forecasting approximately 100 new jobs including high-level engineering and technological profiles. The plan is part of an application for a "Development Agreement" (Accordo di sviluppo) submitted to the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy; the Emilia-Romagna Government has already issued a favorable opinion to Invitalia, the entity managing the procedure.
The investment program consists of several key project lines:
- Industrial Investments (over €31 million): these funds are allocated to expanding and modernising the machinery fleet for producing metallic and composite material components. Planned technologies include 3D printers for prototyping, high-precision machinery, and multi-axis milling machines. The project also includes the creation of advanced material testing laboratories, the implementation of vehicle validation and testing facilities, and the insourcing of specific production activities.
- Research and Development (over €33 million): these investments focus on innovative materials, processing technologies, aerodynamics, structures, safety, surfaces, and energy management. This is particularly strategic in view of the new FIA technical regulations for the 2026 World Championship. Objectives also include developing solutions for hybrid technologies and the use of 100% sustainable fuels.
