On April 8th and 9th, Emilia-Romagna region has been present at Selecting Italy 2024 in Trieste with its desk to meet investors, stakeholders and institutions. The event was focused on attraction of foreign investments and regional value chains.

The region ranks 21st in the overall report including 121 states, provinces and sub-national regions of Austria, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Sweden and the USA
Online the 2023 call for proposals “Attraction of investments in Emilia-Romagna” to enter into Agreements for the Settlement and Development of Enterprises, with 13 million euros of resources for projects with high impact on employment and R&D. Applications can be submitted from January 15, 2024. The deadline is the 29th of February 2024 (12am).
Among the objectives of the mission, there were also the promotion of foreign investments and the internationalization of regional companies.

The German company - leader in industrial automation - invests over 30 million euros in Emilia-Romagna, in the Bologna area, with the creation of 80 new jobs.
The Japanese company, leader in additive manufacturing for industry, invests in Emilia-Romagna and has chosen its new Italian location within the Reggiane Innovation Park, creating 30 new highly qualified jobs by 2024.

The region presented investment opportunities in green hydrogen with a delegation including the regional government, ART-ER/Invest in Emilia-Romagna, Clust-ER Greentech and several companies.
